Light a Candle
Null, Donna Lee (Big D Yellow Bus) 68, of Surprise, AZ, passed away on September 13, 2012. She moved to Arizona in 1985. She most recently worked as Safety and Training Manager for the Dysart Transportation Department, 2008-2012. 2005-2008 she worked as Director of Transportation for the Wickenburg School District. She started her career in transportation with Peoria Unified School District in 1994, working her way up from bus driver and trainer to Training Coordinator. She will be greatly missed! She is survived by her children, Colleen Casson (and Stephanie), Patrick and Misako Maiorano, and Donna Guthrie (and Charlie), her grand-children Christopher Duncan, Ryan Heppner, Sean and Bryan Maiorano, and her great-grandchildren Aliyah and Hayzalinn Duncan. Also survived by her sister, Barbara Endres and her brother, Dick Casey. To her best friend, Linda Collins, she says, "For all your hard core personality, your love shines through. Thank you for being there. Love you." She loved reading and family. She also loved her work and left behind many friends in three school districts. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2012, at Peoria Church of the Nazarene, 7717 Thunderbird Rd. Peoria, AZ 85381, from 6-9pm. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to Hospice of the Valley or your favorite charity in Donna's name.
